Visit to St Dominic's

On Friday, 24 May, Sr Sheila Flynn OP and our Year 11 South African Immersion participants visited St Dominic’s Primary School to thank students and staff for their generous donation to the Kopanang Project. Funds raised were used to provide uniforms for school children in the Tsakane township where Kopanang is located. A video created by Ella Gurry captivated the St Dominic’s students and showed them how proud the South African children felt and looked in their uniforms. Principal Patrick Green then surprised our group by announcing that since the Immersion took place, St Dominic’s had raised a further $500 to donate to the Kopanang Community. We look forward to continuing to strengthen this important relationship between our schools.
