Subject Selection

The subject selection process is continuing in readiness for the creation of a 2020 timetable. Mr Soon, the Subject Selection Coordinator will meet with any student who may have missed out on a subject choice due to timetable constraints and place them in their reserve choice.  Students will be notified of their subjects in Term 4 to coincide with Booklist choices.

Students who applied to complete an accelerated subject and were deferred, will have the opportunity to reapply at the end of Semester 2. While every effort will be made to accommodate accelerated applications that meet the criteria, entry into the class is dependent upon a place being available in the class and timetabling constraints. Those who have been successful with their Semester 1 application are expected to maintain their results in Semester 2, otherwise approval may be withdrawn. The criteria set for the approval of accelerated studies is applied consistently across students and is done for the wellbeing of our students.

Booklists

This year the Mathematics calculators will be included in the Campion Booklist. We have negotiated a competitive price with Campion in order to make the purchasing process more efficient. Booklists will be available on Siena Central in Term 4. Parents will be notified via email.

Parent Teacher Interviews

The interviews will be held in the gym on Thursday, 12 and 19 September. Parents will be notified via email when the interviews are open for booking on Siena Central. Bookings will be open for Year 12 students on Wednesday, 4 September and for the Year 7 to Year 11 students on Thursday, 5 September.

If you find that a staff member that you would like to meet with is unavailable, please feel welcome to contact the teacher via email to arrange a telephone conversation.

Trial Exams

Unit 3 and 4 Trial Exams will be held from Monday, 20 September to Thursday, 4 October. This is an important opportunity for our Year 12 students and Year 11 accelerated students to prepare for their final exams. Writing conditions are reflective of the process followed for their final exams. We ask that you encourage your daughters to participate responsibly and with purpose.
